Dr. Idie Kesner
Dr. Idie Kesner is Frank P. Popoff Chair of Strategic Management at Indiana University. Kesner earned a B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University, M.B.A. and Ph.D. from Indiana University. Prior to joining the Kelley School faculty, Kesner taught in the business program at the University of North Carolina from 1983 to 1995. She has taught in more than 100 different executive education programs, and has served as a consultant for many different firms working on strategic and board related issues. Her research is in the areas of corporate board, executive succession, corporate governance, and mergers and acquisitions. Kesner has published articles in numerous journals including Academy of Management Journal, Strategic Management Journal, Journal of Management, Organization Science, Academy of Management Executive, Business Horizons, and Harvard Business Review.
