Disclaimer:

  • The information on this page is intended to assist conference attendees with their travel arrangements. Each individual traveling to the AIB-SE Annual Conference is responsible for researching all requirements necessary for entry to the United States specific to his or her case. AIB-SE has no influence on an individual’s application to an Embassy or other agency for a visa to travel to the United States. AIB-SE is also not responsible for the outcome of an individual’s visa application.

General Information:

A citizen of a foreign country entering the United States generally must first obtain a visa. Advance travel planning and early visa application is encouraged. The number of visas that can be processed by the consulates and embassies is very limited in some countries and wait times for appointments can be long.

A visa letter from AIB-SE is not required to start the application process.

Update on Change to US Travel Policy Requiring COVID-19 Vaccination for Nonimmigrant Travel:

Last Updated: May 4, 2023

The Administration will end the COVID-19 vaccine requirements for international air travelers at the end of the day on May 11, the same day that the COVID-19 public health emergency ends. This means starting May 12, noncitizen nonimmigrant air passengers will no longer need to show proof of being fully vaccinated with an accepted COVID-19 vaccine to board a flight to the United States. CDC’s Amended Order Implementing Presidential Proclamation on Safe Resumption of Global Travel During the COVID-19 Pandemic will no longer be in effect when the Presidential Proclamation Advancing the Safe Resumption of Global Travel During the COVID-19 Pandemic is revoked. For more information, please see the press briefing.
